Amos Krisi being brought up in the farming industry in Israel, has gotten first-hand experience in the struggles of efficiency and costs of production. He worked with chickens, citrus, vegetables and dairy. In the 80s and 90s he also worked in the flower industry.

He procured a farm which no one wanted, because of its massive amount of debt. Instead of seeing it as a problem he rather saw it as a challenge, to turn the farm around into a profitable, affluent farm. This gave him especially the experience into the well known barriers farmers run into esp when it came to sending out the completed product or marketing it in a cost-effective-low-labour-cost way.

As companies in South Africa were only labeling fruit on an inline automatic way or by hand, this then made production less effective and caused higher labour costs as a result.

It was when he saw a labeling machine, which was brilliant in what it could produce, that he saw how he could help the industry save money in labeling costs by lowering the costs of having a full labour force.

This is when he founded “Smart Farming Technologies CC” in Jan 2003. Since, he has grown to include almost any type of label a company might need in this industry.

He has striven to adapt and service whatever the client needed including to create his custom made label/s, in a cost effective way.

He has now become the leading supplier of labels for the farming/ fruit industry.

When you do business with Smart Farming Technologies CC. you can be sure that the products are what they say they are, and that they will deliver as promised. They have been in business for a number of years and have built their reputation on providing quality service.

“I saw a brilliant machine, and knew it was brilliant. There was no hand labeling machines in the market for fruit. Therefore my purpose is to help pack houses to stick mass quantity of labels automatically and to create and print these labels at the top quality that is needed for such an industry.”
